That’s when I started searching the internet for answers. Fortunately, I came across an online forum and found a guy named Erik who was clearly an expert.
I hired him and quickly learned the importance of rebuilding my metabolic engine and how much of a stressor chronic dieting can be, especially with women.
At the time, I was running my own business and started to apply those lessons to my own clients with amazing success.
Ultimately, Erik and I decided to join forces with Lean Body Consulting because we had very complimentary skills.
Erik brought a lot of the technical knowledge to the table and knows more about hormones, metabolism, and how the body works than anyone I’ve ever met.
I was able to bring the lifestyle component to the table to make all of the information applicable and easy to implement.
That wasn’t the end of my story.
As we were running the business together with 6 combined kids, I ended up getting diagnosed with stage 4, non-small cell lung cancer which comes with a less than 1%, 5 year survival rate.
This is now year 10 and I’m a 3-time survivor (currently in remission) and this is what I consider my superpower.
I show our clients what it’s like to be resilient, disciplined, and persistent through my own actions.
